Fair questions about hot water systems.
In most cases, yes. We carry common tank and continuous-flow sizes, and if you call in the morning we can usually have the new system running the same day anywhere across Sydney.
A tank over 8–10 years old that's leaking from the cylinder is a replacement — repairs are money down the drain. Faults in valves, thermostats or elements on younger units are usually worth repairing. We price both options so you can decide.
Heat pumps are the cheapest to run and attract NSW rebates, gas continuous flow suits homes already on gas, and electric storage is the cheapest upfront. We'll size the right option for your household rather than the one with the biggest margin.
Yes — we'll install a compliant unit you've purchased, though supply-and-install usually works out similar in cost once warranty and delivery are counted, and it means one company is responsible for everything.
Storage tanks benefit from a service every five years — the sacrificial anode is checked and replaced if worn, which can add years to the cylinder's life, and the temperature-pressure relief valve is tested. Continuous-flow units want a flush and filter clean around the same interval. It's cheap insurance: most tanks that fail early were simply never serviced.
Cold inlet water in a Sydney winter can be ten degrees lower than summer, so the system works harder to reach the same temperature and a marginal tank suddenly feels too small. Longer showers in July don't help either. If winter shortfalls happen every year, the unit is undersized for the household — we can size a replacement properly rather than guessing.
